EXCEL INTERMEDIATE
11/17/2009 – 11/19/2009, 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M.
This is a 3-day workshop at Fairfield Career Center, and it is mandatory that you attend all three days. This Course builds on the skills and concepts taught in Excel Intro. Students will learn how to use multiple worksheets and workbooks efficiently, and they will start working with more advanced formatting options including styles, themes, backgrounds, and watermarks. They will also learn how to create outlines and subtotals, how to create and apply cell names, and how to work with lists and tables. Students will save workbooks as Web pages, insert and edit hyperlinks, and save a workbook as a PDF file. This course also covers advanced charting techniques, worksheet auditing and protection, file sharing and merging, and workbook templates. Prior registration is required!

DECODING THE WORKPLACE
11/20/2009, 1:00 – 3:00 P.M.
Have you ever been terminated from a job? Would you like to learn more about handling workplace conflicts? Would you like to learn how and when to question a supervisor or how to respond to being reprimanded? This workshop will help you decode the mysteries of the workplace and how you can not only keep your job, but achieve your career goals! This is a 2-hour workshop at Fairfield County Job & Family Services. Prior registration is required!

ACCESS INTERMEDIATE
12/01/2009 – 12/03/2009, 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
This is a 3-day workshop at Fairfield Career Center, and it is mandatory that you attend all three days. Students build on the skills and concepts taught in Access Introductory. Students will learn how to normalize data; work with Lookup fields and subdatasheets; create join queries; add objects to forms, print reports and labels; create charts; and use PivotTables and PivotCharts. Prior registration is required!

POWERPOINT INTERMEDIATE
12/8/2009 - 12/10/2009, 9:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M.
This is a 3 day workshop at Fairfield Career Center, and it is mandatory that you attend all three days. Students learn skills necessary to further use PowerPoint. Students will complete 6-10 documents providing hands on experience using the PowerPoint features. Participants of this course should understand basic concepts involved in working with a personal computer and have attended the PowerPoint Introductory class. Prior registration is required!

COMPUTER BASICS
12/15/2009 – 12/17/2009, 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.
This is a 3 day workshop at Fairfield Career Center, and it is mandatory that you attend all three days. This workshop is designed to teach the basics of computer operation. You will learn commonly used functions, how to utilize the mouse, and much more! Prior registration is required!

EXCEL ADVANCED
12/29/2009 - 12/31/2009, 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.
This is a 3 day workshop at Fairfield Career Center, and it is mandatory that you attend all three days. This course builds on the skills and concepts taught in Excel 2007: Intermediate. Students will work with advanced formulas, as well as lookup functions such as VLOOKUP, MATCH, and INDEX. In addition, students will learn about data validation and database functions such as DSUM. They will learn how to work with PivotTables and PivotCharts, how to import and export data, and how to query external databases. Finally, students will learn about the analytical features of Excel (such as Goal Seek and Solver), running and recording macros, and sharing Excel data via the Web. Prior registration is required!
