Provide nursing assistance to residents within an assigned unit under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, LPN or RN. Take and record weights. Bathe residents or assist in bathing residents. Comb hair, clean and cut nails, assist in cleaning teeth and dentures. Change linens on beds. Keep rooms tidy. Report record of resident's food intake/output. Pass all food at each meal to the residents and assist them with eating. Assist residents in walking and transport them to various areas of the nursing facility by means of walking, wheelchair, geri-chair, etc. Answer call lights promptly and deliver messages. Help in whatever capacity within accordance with job description. Follow daily schedule. Report all breakage. Report any witnessed abuse to Director of Nursing. Attend in-services on required topics. 12 hour dayshift & 12 hour nightshift.

Requirements of Job:
Able to read and write, do simple arithmetic, follow simple instructions, pass performance tests. Willing and eager to learn. Have transportation to and from work. Must be able to arrive at work on time every shift scheduled; not miss more than one workday per month. Willing to work a rotating schedule, if necessary. Able to grasp basic principles and techniques of nursing. Ability to work every other weekend. 12 hour dayshift & 12 nightshift. Hours are 6a-6p or 6p-6a.
