It is the mission of the Fairfield County Job and Family Services Child Care Department to assist families in removing child care as a barrier to self-sufficiency by linking them to quality child care options and early childhood programs.

PARENT:

Your family may be eligible for help paying for the cost of child care (Publicly Funded Child Care) if you meet the following income guidelines:

The current guidelines can be imported from:

http://www.state.oh.us/odhs/cdc/table1c.pdf

In order to determine whether or not your family qualifies for services you must complete an application and submit verification of all income that your family receives.

The Child Care Application (ODJFS 1138) is available via the Inner web using Acrobat Reader.

The Child Care application and an employment verification form (used agency wide) should be able to be printed out and completed so that the parent can mail it or bring to the JFS office.

Choosing Child Care:
Child Care finder is a FREE service provided to ALL families of Fairfield County, regardless of income. Our purpose is to help link families needing childcare, to quality childcare programs that best meet the needs of the family.

How does Child Care finder Work:
A referral specialist is available to answer your questions and to gather information about your family and your childcare needs. We then utilize a database to match parents with available childcare providers in their community. The Child Care finder database includes Licensed Child Care Centers, County Certified Family Child Care Providers, and other Early Education Programs.

Disclaimer: Parents are responsible for interviewing and selecting the childcare provider that is best suited to meet their needs.
