- WorkNet
The WorkNet is primarily used for self-directed job searches, including
online job searches, resume preparation and/or preparing for an
interview. Computers are loaded with programs that will help
assess career interest, aptitudes and job expansion. By browsing
the Internet, one can find average wages for specific jobs or
compare the job market from county to county or state to state.
- S.T.A.R.S.
S.T.A.R.S. is an innovative new approach that helps you find and
keep YOUR perfect job. The sessions are scheduled and designed in a
module format which covers a variety of areas.
- W.I.A.
The Workforce Investment Act is a new program which replaces the
former JTPA program. It is a 'work first' program that is locally
designed to assist customers with improving their job search skills,
making career decisions, obtaining a job or in exploring the labor
market trends in our area.
- Success Coach
Fairfield County Job and Family Services offers one-on-one coaching
to individuals who are interested in finding employment. Success
Coaches routinely make referrals and find the resources for training,
education, and other supportive services.
